Operating in real-time, with application logic distributed throughout a global network, the Ballistic Missile Defense System’s (BMDS) Command and Control Battle Management (C2BMC) system is the  ultimate net-centric application.
With a global network of sensors and processors, BMDS is tasked with identifying, assessing, communicating and intercepting ballistic missile threats. With just minutes to react to events that can occur at anytime and without warning, a single down router or a slight transmission delay in the BMDS network can lead to disaster.
The BMDS ConOps requires management of a vast converged infrastructure of interconnected communication technologies, applications and devices spread across many sites.
